Barb Michaud CSVI Executive Director is the face and passion behind Pinktober. She launched Pinktober ten years ago after a conversation with the General Manager, Kris Macken, at Mahogany Run to pay it forward. Michaud, a breast cancer survivor (or whom she likes to coin “cancer warriors”), like many Virgin Islanders who can’t afford the cost of cancer, reached out to CSVI for financial support & resources to guide her along her cancer journey.

Diane Hampton is a cancer warrior and Co-Founder of the Vi Breast Cancer Project, offering support and art therapy for cancer survivors on St. Croix.

Lauren Myler joined St. Croix & St. Thomas Cancer Specialists as a clinical oncology social worker earlier this year. In her role, she supports those impacted by cancer through medical navigation, resource facilitation and counseling — all informed by her own experiences as an eighteen-year breast cancer survivor!
Charlene Kehoe, founded Cancer Support VI in 2005 and ran the organization with the utmost compassion and dedication for over 15 years. After many years of selflessly assisting Virgin Islanders impacted by cancer, she too was diagnosed in 2016.
