For the past 20 years, CSVI has operated as a fund of the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI), benefiting from their invaluable guidance and support. To commemorate this significant milestone, CSVI hosted a special reception attended by staff, board members, healthcare leaders and dedicated supporters. During the event, CSVI presented CFVI with a locally handcrafted plaque as a gesture of gratitude for two decades of partnership and stewardship.

“Cancer Support VI’s transition from a CFVI Fund to an independent nonprofit is a true testament to the vision of the Stephenson Family and the unwavering generosity of donors over the years,” said Dee Beacher-Brown, President of CFVI. “This achievement marks an exciting new chapter for CSVI and highlights the impact of CFVI’s network of Angel donors in supporting this important cause.”

Since its founding, CSVI has provided substantial financial assistance through grants and direct support to cancer patients and their families, easing the burden of treatment costs, travel expenses, and other essential needs. Over the years, CSVI has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of individuals in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The CSVI Board of Directors extends heartfelt thanks to CFVI for providing a strong foundation that allowed the organization to grow and evolve into a standalone nonprofit. They also express their deep appreciation for the donors, partners, and volunteers who made this transition possible.
